TRINITAS AMBULATORY SURGERY CENTER TO OPEN IN EARLY 2014
Provident Bank Foundation's support helps make it possible
In order to reflect growing and changing patient care needs in Central New Jersey, Trinitas Regional Medical Center is constructing a 4,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art Ambulatory Surgery Center to meet the high demand for same day surgeries like hernia repair, gall bladder surgery and cataract removal. The Provident Bank Foundation supports this far-reaching initiative with a donation of $15,000.
Located in Elizabeth, Trinitas is the second-largest safety net hospital in New Jersey. Trinitas Regional Medical Center treated over 465,000 patient visits in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings in 2012. "We strive to provide the most technologically advanced as well as compassionate care to our patients each and every day. With support from community partners like Provident Bank Foundation, we can continue to do so." stated Gary Horan, FACHE, President & CEO of Trinitas Regional Medical Center.
"Provident Bank Foundation is proud to support efforts to bring advanced technology to Trinitas and help all patients receive the safest and most effective surgical procedures." said Jane Kurek, executive director of The Provident Bank Foundation.
Trinitas provided over 5,500 same-day surgeries in 2012 and is poised to exceed that number in 2013. "With the rapid change in technology, the potential for additional types of same day surgeries is great. We thank Provident Bank Foundation for their support, and with our new Ambulatory Surgery Center we will be able to serve more patients at Trinitas," stated Nadine Brechner, Vice President & Chief Development Officer at Trinitas Health Foundation.
At a recent site visit, Karen McMullen, a member of The Provident Bank Foundation board, stated, "I am very impressed with Trinitas doctors and nurses and see the high level of care provided at Trinitas Regional Medical Center. I am excited that our support will help bring a vitally needed surgical center to this fine institution."
The new Ambulatory Surgery Center is scheduled to open at the end of February, 2014. To learn more about Trinitas Regional Medical Center, please contact the Trinitas Health Foundation at 908-994-8249.
