Bayway Refinery to receive Celebrating Philanthropy Award

Phillips 66 Bayway Refinery will be recognized by the Trinitas Health Foundation during its annual spring Gala: "Passion For Our Patients" on May 8, 2014, at The Venetian in Garfield, New Jersey. Phillips 66 Bayway Refinery will receive the Celebrating Philanthropy Award for its efforts both as a corporate funder and through its generous and long-supporting employee base.

Gary Horan, FACHE, President and Chief Executive Officer noted, "Phillips 66 Bayway Refinery exemplifies how philanthropy connects a community. Throughout our partnership, they have helped financially including generous assistance to acquire a digital endoscopy scanner, breast health imaging equipment, C.O.R.E. (Center of Regional Education) Building Project, Outpatient Electronic Medical Records Project, Emergency Department Patient Cardiac Monitors Upgrade Project, and with in-kind donations of office furniture for the Women's Clinic. They've also answered patients' direct needs with donations of clothing and toys. We are thrilled to honor Phillips 66 at the Gala."

"Our relationship with Trinitas began more than two decades ago, and we are pleased to be honored tonight," said Mary Phillips, Community Relations Coordinator. "Many of our employees and neighbors call Trinitas their community hospital, and assisting our neighbors in the communities where we operate our business is consistent with our values of safety, honor, and commitment. We are looking forward to being honored and receiving the Trinitas Celebrating Philanthropy Award."

During the evening 28 Residents of Trinitas Regional Medical Center will also be honored with the Humanitarian Award. Long-time Trinitas friend and supporter, NJ Burkett, Channel 7 WABC national anchor and broadcast journalist will emcee the "Passion for Our Patients" Gala Dinner & Dance.

Gala guests will enjoy a sumptuous dinner, the opportunity to bid on a wide variety of desired items including trips and one-of-a-kind experiences in the Silent Auction, and have several chances to win with the very popular 50/50 cash raffle.

Proceeds from the event benefit Trinitas Regional Medical Center and the patients it serves in Elizabeth, Central New Jersey, and statewide. In 2013, nearly $450,000 was raised for the medical center's facility, equipment and program needs and, with your support, we can exceed that this year.

Business and individual sponsorship opportunities are available. To reserve your dinner ticket, an advertisement in the commemorative journal, or learn more about sponsorship, please call the Trinitas Health Foundation at 908-994-8249. Checks may be made payable to Trinitas Health Foundation and mailed to P.O. Box 259, Elizabeth, NJ 07207-0259.
