Diabetes: Take Control of Your Health

Understanding how to manage diabetes can help you design a healthier life. Trinitas invites you to learn how to prevent diabetes, the complications that can arise when you have diabetes, and practical treatments for diabetes for those already diagnosed.
Dr. Ari Eckman, Chief of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Trinitas Regional Medical Center, will be the presenter. His comments will be followed by a question and answer period.
Refreshments will be provided, and giveaways are slated to be part of the event.

Join with Trinitas as we participate in the Great American Smokeout. Smoking causes an estimated 480,000 deaths per year (about 1-in-5 deaths), and more than 16 million Americans live with a smoking-related disease.
Rhonda Hartley, RN and CTTS-Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist, will talk about the negative effects of smoking and recommend techniques for quitting and kicking the habit for good.
